A Mother-Daughter Tale In Ten Texts

She’s departing from her Boston area college campus in the morning to compete in a Model UN conference in Canada. Call me (haha) crazy, but I’m trying to converse with the kid tonight – you know, talk, over the phone – before she leaves school. It’s the little things.

  Nothing. So I try again.

Finally, just as I prepare TO GO ALL CAPS ALL OVER HER, she responds.

She thinks she’s leaving school, leaving the state, leaving the country without talking with us first? Hilarious. Delusional.

Oh. No. She. Didn’t. She left for Canada. Without calling her mother.

The end.
